Do I need to know exactly what legal help I need before I contact you?
Not at all. That’s what the legal ‘triage’ consultation is for. We’ll help you figure out what you need and what your options are.
Do you only work with people in Queensland?
We’re based in Queensland and hold a Queensland practicing certificate. We can help clients throughout Queensland and may be able to assist with certain matters in other states – get in touch and we’ll let you know.
How do I know if I'm eligible for the "pay what you can" model?
During your initial consultation, we’ll have an honest conversation about your circumstances and work out a fee structure that’s fair and manageable for you.
What if my legal issue is complicated?
We’ll be honest about whether we can help or if you need a specialist. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll refer you to someone who is.
What if I can't afford a lawyer at all?
Shakti Legal Solutions also accepts a limited number of pro bono clients. Alternatively, we can point you toward free or low-cost services that might be able to help.
How long does it take to get an appointment?
We usually respond within 48 hours and can often schedule consultations within the same week.
Is everything I tell you confidential?
Yes. Everything you share with us is confidential and protected by legal professional privilege.
